Pre-Endorsement Conference

The CA Democratic Party is holding a pre-endorsement conference on January 17, 2026 of candidates running for CA Assembly, CA Senate and Congress.

FADC is seeking 14 volunteers and 3 alternates to be the Club's representatives at the pre-endorsement conference and vote to pre-endorse a candidate for each office. Volunteers must be:

  • Members in good standing as of July 22, 2025

  • A resident of Assembly District 7 (currently held by Josh Hoover)

  • Not a current DPSC or CADEM Delegate

Club reps have the option to attend the in-person conference and then vote or to vote remotely. The conference begins at noon on Jan 17, 2026, and includes candidates' speeches.

The FADC Board will assist and support volunteers as they get ready for the conference. Click below to submit your name to be considered for this important role. DEADLINE TO VOLUNTEER IS NOVEMBER 25, 2026.

FADC is hosting a food drive this November to benefit our community members who turn to the Orangevale Food Bank and the Twin Lakes Food Bank for assistance. After Trump cut funding to food banks in the Spring and refused to fund the SNAP food assistance this month, demand is high, but resources are low. If you can help, please donate non-perishable food at the following locations

  • The Fat Rabbit Public House at 825 Sutter St during business hours - stop by for a pint and a scotch egg while you drop off your donations

  •  Grocery Outlet at 671 East Bidwell during business hours - drop a few items in the barrel while you shop

  • Curl Up & Dye Salon at 8518 Madison Ave. during business hours - after a day of rallying, canvassing & protesting, treat yourself to a day at the salon

ACTION TEAM

Our local school boards play a critical role in shaping the educational environment and ensuring the safety, well-being and academic success of our children. They are being confronted by those who want to ban books and espouse prejudice against our gay, trans and immigrant children. Let's be heard and counter this extremism.

Team members will review the Board agendas, identify important issues, attend Board meetings and /or work with FADC Board to encourage members to attend, & report out to member meetings.

The FADC elections team successfully planned our actions for Yes on Prop 50. Be a part of the team to plan our continued success into 2026. We will analyze the data from the Prop 50 election and map out a plan for a Blue Wave in 2026.

Call or Write Your Elected Officials

various-stamps

Hold our elected officials accountable. Make periodic calls to our representatives to let them know you're paying attention. Tell them  your position on issues critical to our rights, our Democracy, and our future.  Even better, put your words to paper and send a letter.

FADC will regularly send out Rapid Response Requests to call specific representatives on specific topics, but in the meantime, keep the pressure on.  Check the numbers under "Outreach" for specific people.
